Here are some of the bible classes the Zion offers: |
The Truth Project |
|
Are you looking for relevant Biblical answers for daily
challenges? The “Truth Project” Bible study, held on
Sundays from 5:30–7:30pm, is a DVD series produced by
Focus on the Family and hosted by David Paul Britton
(worship leader, church worker, educator). It
illuminates powerful Scriptures addressing the deep
questions that God’s people face in today’s world. The
current class is full, but a new study will begin after
the first of the year. Seating is limited; so sign up
early.
Head 2 Heart |
Our method of teaching public school confirmation uses
computers, music and relationship connections to nurture
and strengthen a faith relationship with Jesus. We help
our young people to not only know about Jesus, about
God, about the church, and about sin and grace, but also
how these relate to them personally.
Treasure Seeker Time (Sunday School) |
|
It is a special privilege to share your love of Jesus
with children. Stories, music, and videos are all used
to make a connection with our Best Friend.
Vacation Bible School |
|
What a fun way to work with our own children as well as
serve as an outreach ministry to community youngsters -
sharing stories, music, crafts and refreshments in the
summer!
Spiritual Gifts |
|
We encourage current members and new members to discover
the unique gifts given to them from the Spirit and then
allow God to use those gifts through them. It’s one of
our means of “connecting” people with other members and
ministries.
Evangelism |
|
Contacting and welcoming guests and prospective members
as well as encouraging new members is the focus of this
outreach ministry.
CORE |
|
“CORE” stands for “Community Outreach Renewal Event.”
This committee plans outreach events, concerts (remember
“Selah” at SVSU?), speakers, and seminars for both
Zion’s members and the community beyond. Currently, CORE
is sponsoring the Truth Project Bible study and several
youth events.
Cradle Roll |
|
This ministry of mailing devotional literature to new
parents during their child’s first three years has been
active for over thirty years.
Special Education Ministry |
|
Working with people of all ages with special needs, and
sharing Jesus’ love for them, is truly a rewarding
ministry. |
